Courtney and Damien

I was looking forward to another shoot at the Empire. It's been a while since i have done a wedding in the Empire Chapel but it looked spectacular as usual. Damien and the boys were all chilled despite a slight wardrobe malfunction, but luckily one of the guys had a pocket knife in hand and took care of it. It's not as bad as it sounds. We headed into the theatre to get some photos and i'm still getting new ideas every time i go there. Love it. Probably the highlight for me was the 'uber' style shot I did with these guys. Damiens pose cracks me up. Congrats guys and thanks for making today such a fun shoot.

Renata and Bradley

After getting some great shots during their engagement shoot i was really looking forward to Bradley and Renatas wedding. With the wedding being in the morning the girls had an early start but by the time i arrived the coffee had obviously kicked in and everyone was looking chirpy. After the ceremony we headed to Glen Alpine homestead for our photo session and luckily we had an indoor location coz the weather turned nasty not long after we arrived. But never the less we pushed on and got some great results. Even got some shots of the cars for Brad.

Chantal and Josh

Wow. What a day. Talk about extremes. When I arrived in Warwick the temperature was 38 degrees and by the time the ceremony was due to start at 4pm, the temp had dropped by 15 degrees and we had monsoonal rain and even a little bit of hail. Once the rain has finished the wind came. But to Josh and Chantal's credit they didn't let it phase them and we ended up having a great day. I love going to new locations and getting some new inspiration and the Warwick railway station was great. And we even had a break in the weather. Congratulations guys and I know in five years time you will be alughing about the crazy weather.

Pretty much a day where everything worked in my favour. All our scheduling and planned worked perfectly, the locations were amazing and even the weather was on my side. Despite the guys losing a few kilograms while up the front due to the amount of sweat running out of them. We headed up to a secret spot up the road from the chapel and had some great dramatic clouds which made for the perfect backdrop. Then had a change of location and also a change of weather. The clouds were gone and we got an amazing sunset. It's nice when everything goes to plan :-)

Katie and David

The most memorable part of today, for me, was the message that the pastor gave during the wedding ceremony. With both David and Katie being self confessed Dr Who fans he managed to squeeze in quite a few references to the show as well as a few star wars and star trek quotes. Even a few puns here and there which i'm sure David and Katie would have appreciated. We headed to the studio lane way for our first stop with the photos which was really enjoyable as it has been quite a long time since my last visit there to take some wedding pics. We then headed to Davidson Arboretum in Highfields which was perfect as the land was developed into what it is today by Davids grandfather and there was even a tree planted in the gardens when was born. We got to the gardens at the perfect time and caught some amazing sunlight at the end of the day. P.S I love the shot of the girls with the instruments. Maybe a new girl band on the horizon??
